The best available science says social distancing is the most effective response to controlling the spread of the novel coronavirus. It is our collective best effort for “flattening the curve” of illness transmission. All available medical information—plus the real time experience in Italy, now France, now Spain—is that NOW is the time to begin…not soon, but now.
In deference to science and in deep solidarity with our community, COMMON FIRE will close tonight, Sunday March 15. We will continue to monitor and assess the unfolding situation. Science is our most dependable guide, compassion our most trustworthy impulse. Take care of each other. Defend the commonweal. We are all in this together.
